With cell phones.
I carry two lines on my plan just so that I can upgrade more frequently. I don't even know the number to the second line. Is this crazy? Probably so.
I like to have the latest, greatest phone available, if possible. My obsession started with my pink Blackberry Curve. Man I loved that thing! I actually miss the keyboard and the little clicking noise it made. I could text so fast with that phone!
After I got tired of watching that little clock spin round and round whilst waiting on something to load on my Curve, I upgraded to the Blackberry Tour. While it was a tad faster, it's novelty wore off quickly when it kept rebooting itself for no reason. Next!
Then I moved on to the original Motorola Droid. Once again, it was love! The internet connection on that phone was like lightning (especially compared to the slow crawl that became my Blackberry Tour). I was so in love with this phone! The cute little car dock, the wonderful GPS, all the cute wallpapers. I didn't think I could love another phone more.....Along came the Samsung Fascinate. This phone was so cool! Except that it got NO service in the area where my apartment complex is located. Oops.

Had to trade that one in for my current phone: The Droid X. Now, I *love* this phone. No, really. I love it! It has a large screen, the internet connection speed is amazing and it has never caused me a minute's trouble.
But, I became intrigued by the iPhone when it came to Verizon. So, I used an upgrade and got it. BIG mistake. I wanted to love the iPhone, like everyone seemingly did. I wanted to use Instagram like all the cool kids. But it was not meant to be. The iPhone wouldn't stay connected to WiFi for more than 1o minutes, the internet connection made me feel like I had a Blackberry again and it got so hot, it was hard to hold! And, it would not give me Twitter notifications no matter what app I used. It was a big, fat iPhone Fail.
So, I sent the iPhone back and went back to my Droid X, and have been very happy!
(I'm not hating on the iPhone. I wanted to love it. If it had worked out, I'd be using it today).
Now, I'm getting restless, again, with my phone. I want to upgrade (and I do have an upgrade waiting since the iPhone didn't work out). I'm thinking of getting the HTC Thunderbolt. My cousin has it and I kind of love it! We recently got 4G in my area and it is SO fast.
Looks I may be making a trip to the Big Red today. We'll see. What phone do you have? Are you obsessed with cell phones?
No, Just me?
I thought so.
I'm weird like that.
p.s. I'm fully aware that this may be the most trivial blog post of my life. Whatever.

Sometimes, I love trival posts. It makes reading fun!
I am currently using the Blackberry Bold and I absolutely love it! I haven't tried all of the features yet and I definitely don't have any apps, but I love this phone. The keyboard is awesome and it makes texting so much easier.
I actually work for Verizon, so I am very familiar with all your phones. Its kind of like working in an ive cream shop and the novelty wears off after a while. I keep all the latest devices on my business lines and am still rocking the old BB Tour on my personal line (I have 3 lines total). I would definitely go with the Thunderbolt, especially if you live in a 4G market. I am trying to convince my dad to get the Thunderbolt as we speak. Can't wait to hear how you like it!
That's not weird! I wish I was as caught up with cell phone technology as you are, lol! I still have an old school flip phone but I love it, ha!
I am totally obsessed with my phone. It's the best thing EVER! And it actually is an iphone! I have never had any problems with it. The connection is beyond amazing, and I love every part of it. I'm sorry you had such a crappy experience with it though. I don't know if it has to do with the fact that you have Verizon maybe? Mine is with AT&T and honestly, it's been great.
I miss my old BB too. I remember how easy it was to text on it.
Now I have my iPhone but I do love it. Lucky for me I didn't have any of those problems you did. That's a real bummer.
Let us know how the Thunderbolt works out.
Oh no, I am right there with you ... I've had more phones then I can count ... from Sidekicks, to one of the first touch phones that was heavy as bricks, to blackberry, and now to my IPHONE which I love, LOVE, love and connot imagine life without!!! :-)

Omg you just gave me the most BRILLIANT idea ever...to add a line and get a new phone!! LOL!! I've been dying to go back to Blackberry. I tried the iPhone and I didn't love it either. I feel awful saying that bc so many people are obsessed with it, including my boyfriend, but I just wasn't into it.
I have the HTC Evo 4G and it is a great phone! But I miss BBM and like you said, I love the little *clicking* when I text! LOL!
Oh thanks for all the phone info. I need a new one desperately. This helps a lot.
