I am completely packed up and moving should be really easy. I'm just moving across the complex, so I have devised a plan. I am going to move one room at a time. As I move each room, I'm going to clean, organize and decorate so that it's completely done before I move on to the next room. I'm doing this rather than moving everything to the living room of the new apartment and having a big, disorganized mess. My apartment manager is so nice, and she has told me that I do not have to be in a hurry to move, as they do not have someone scheduled to move into my current apartment right now. I will have it all done by the end of the weekend though. I hope.
The colors I'm using in the new apartment are navy, white and khaki with a little red thrown in here and there. My theme, if you can call it that, is on the nautical side. I love living in South Carolina and I have always had a bit of a coastal touch to my decorating, I'm just incorporating it a LOT more in the new place. Some of the items will be things that were in the beach house my grandparent's owned on Edisto Island. I spent a lot of time there as a child and have very fond memories from The Bloody Mary!
I recently found some amazing pillows at Pottery Barn that I fell in love with; however, the insert was $15 and the cover was over $70. Here is the one from Pottery Barn:

At that price, no thanks. So, while shopping at Home Goods, I found these:

The grand total for BOTH pillows: $32. They have nice feather inserts and the covers are removable and washable! I find them slightly creepy and charming at the same time.
I am still on a desperate search for a coffee table. I want a white, bead board coffee table with a shelf on the bottom for baskets. I want to use this coffee table to hold my TV, not for an actual coffee table. I do not like entertainment centers at all. I have been scouring classifieds, furniture stores and the like in hopes of finding one I could possibly paint myself. This is similar to what I want, but can't seem to find, in white:

I still have several things I need to get, but I'm just taking my time and really enjoying the search for special things that I want to fill my home with. There is really nothing I enjoy more than going to a "white sale" or getting lost in the home department of Macy's, Belk, Sears, Dillard's, etc. I can spend hours in those sections! Target has had some wonderful items lately and I can't wait to show you what I will be using as my actual coffee table (which I got at Target)!
My mom and dad have been wonderful at surprising me with gifts for my new place lately! I think my parents are just as excited as I am about me moving!
Anyway, sorry for the long, rambling post I'm just overly excited right now! Can't wait to share some photos with you in the coming week!
Have a great weekend!
K~

I love those pillows! It is so nice to be able to find a cheaper version of really expensive things that you like. Good luck with the coffee table!
I got confused in Pottery Barn the other day when looking at pillows. I was thinking that the insert price was the sale price for the whole pillow. Those pillows went back on the shelf in a HURRY!
Those pillows are ADORABLE! My sister got this amazing white beadboard coffee table from vcf.com and it is beautiful and affordable all at the same time:

Oh, and it already has the baskets!!
I'm moving next week, and I'm super excited for a chance to redecorate! I'm also going for a more nautical theme with whites, blues, yellows, etc. Good luck on your decorating!
