Tan in a bottle....

Ok people, I leave for a week at the beach in one month! I am in serious need of a tan, but laying in a tanning bed (which I used to do) scares the crap out of me! I just can't do it.

So....I need some self tanner recommendations! I do lay in the sun on occasion, and tan very easily. However, I use SPF of no less than 30 when I lay out, so I'm not gonna get a great tan before I go. I need some instant gratification!

Help a girl out! What do you use and like?

My previous favorite self tanner was L'Oreal Sublime Bronze, but I think they changed the formula, because now it has a sh*t ton of GLITTER?!? Why the crap, at my age, do I need to look a sparkly 14 year old going to a middle school dance? I mean really, L'Oreal? Really?

Thanks ladies (and guys! I have a few who read)

Smooches,
K~

LOL!!! oh this is funny.. i mystic.. but its something like an art.. i pay 39 monthly to go as much as i want.. otherwise its 30 a tan! RIP_OFF!!! i just bought some jergens, foam build a tan, like it so far, but i've used the loreal for years.. sublime bronze.. it DOES seem like there is more friggin glitter in it!!! that's the only 2 i think are good.
Thank you for all your sweet compliments! The house is called Ryan Nicholas Inn.. spendy, but SO WORTH IT! right next to BLOOM grocery store. The lady that owns it and runs it is very detailed oriented, name is Kim.. i liked her alot. I dont know if she provided the photographer.. i thought he was good.. HOWEVER, i felt like he was so focused on certain shots, he missed lots of the inconspicuous ones that were some of the neatest.. a photographer should constantly move around sly.... and catch the most candid moments..
As for the cake.. i'm going to find out the name of it and purposely BLAST them online.. i'll clue u in early.. she paid 1 grand for the cake.. the bottom ended up being FALSE, she lied about getting rear ended on the way there, the cake was suppose to have pearls all over it, didnt, , the cake for the middle layer was RAW- and she brought 3 8X8 CAKES, one was red velvet, one carrot and NONE strawberry.. and SHE HAD ORDERED ONLY STRAWBERRRY! she had also ordered 2 cupcakes special for my girls with special butterflies on them.. THOSE NEVER CAME. there wasnt enough cake due to the false layer ( she did last min) and the RAW cake that was suppose to be served. She also did this to another bride ( SAME venue place) and refused a refund on the NOV wedding and my girlfriends wedding.. HORRIBLE horrible business... more details but those are the most important.. so my girlfriend didnt even end up getting ANY of her wedding cake!

Jergens Express glow. It does the same thing as the Jergens lotion but it does it in about two days instead of a week.

I do not have any recommendations, so I am completely unhelpful. But I commend you on not laying in the tanning coffin...errrr...bed :) I know so many women in their 40's who tanned and WOW they do not look good. It's sad :-/

Have fun on the trip!

I really like Dove Energy Glow because it give you an even, gradual tan.

Wish I could advise but, alas, I cannot. I'm probably the whitest woman walking the face of the earth. Pastey white...It's pitiful!

Depending which one is on sale, I like either -

Aveeno Positively Radiance Self Tanner. All self tanners smell kinda funky after you apply them. This one has a less funkier smell than most I've tried. Plus the color builds gradually.

or

Jergens Express Glow. Be uber careful applying the fast glow one - it can streak a tad more at the wrists, inside elbox, back of knee, etc.

I've heard good reviews about a new one called Seven Nyne. I think Lindsay Lohan is somehow behind that product.

I bought some the other day, and its okay. I think it is the Dove Express glow. In a few days it will give you enough of a tan to look non-ghostly yet not fake-baked orange. But you have to be really careful because it streaks REALLY easily!

I love this stuff! I mix it with my lotion and moisterizer so it doesn't streak.

What about Mystic Tan? I have been thinking I am going to do it. I did it last year - the tan looked good and was quick. The bad part is that I inhaled the spray stuff because I couldn't hold my breath for as long as it took to have the air cleared...that sucked.

mymyst.

Its the new version of the mystic tan. If there is a palm beach tan in your area or ultra tan they will probably have the mymyst.

It is 100x better then the old mystic.
You can chose a shade, and it doesn't just spray front side/back side..it does all around (you move in a circle) so you don't have that weird arm pit tan.

It also isn't like being sprayed with a garden hose like the previous one..its a very light myst..your basically dry when you get out.

Don't know how much you are willing to spend but St. Tropez Bronzing 3rd step is amazing. You can buy the 3 pc kit which includes exfoliator and moisturizer as well or just the 3rd step. It is also tinted so you see where you are putting it on and it also helps hide stretch marks and veins.
