New Room. Super Cheap!

This was my attempt at redecoration on a budget. I wanted to completely re-do my room, but wanted to see how cheap I could do it. It almost became a game for me. Anyway here is the finished product. I'll post the total at the bottom of this post! Enjoy....

**this is my bedroom view from the door. I love navy blue and I got the comforter set for $19 (that included two sheet sets, two shams, comforter, and bed skirt). The curtain is from Target.

**A closer view of the comforter set.

**this is my window sill, complete with pictures of my nephews. The beaded lamps were purchased for $2 each. The frames are navy, though they look black in the picture. They were purchased at the Dollar Tree for, you guessed it, $1.

**This is the tall chest of drawers. The brass candlesticks were purchased from a garage sale for $1 for the set. They are very heavy! The cobalt bottles were $2.50 each.
**The throw pillows are velvet with beading around the edges. I love these pillows and they were $5 each! The artwork on the wall was only $11. I think it's pretty!
**This is my dresser. I have a kitchen TV in my bedroom, but it's great! I know I should be a little more decorative with the shelves, but I hate clutter. I can't decide what to put on them. The tall thing in the corner is a tower fan. I love to sleep with a fan on.
**This is my desk area. I purchased the lamp from TJ Maxx. It was originally $99 but I got it for $12. The ribbon board came from TJ Maxx as well for $6.

Everthing in this room was purchased at Garden Ridge, Olde Time Pottery, TJ Maxx, Target or the Dollar Tree! My room was pink and light blue before I decided to change it up. I was going for a more grown up look. I think I achieved it. I just wish I could paint the walls...Oh well. My furniture was a gift from my parents on my 16th birthday.

Total Budget:

Comforter Set: $19

Throw pillows x 2: $10

Throw rug: $3

Frames x 3: $3

Candle holders: $1

Cobalt jars x 2: $5

Beaded tea-lite lamps: $4

Lamp: $12

Ribbon board: $6

Artwork: $11

Curtain: $6

GRAND TOTAL: $80

I'm the same way. It's like a game to see how cheap you can do something, and yet still have things that look great. I would love for there to be some sort of challenge on a TV show for people to do this...I would LOVE that kind of challenge.

P.S. I have to admit some of my favorite lamps have come from TJs/Marshalls. In fact I just posted about one.
